Elizabeth Craft Designs- September Design Team Challenge -Fall, Harvest. Halloween

Hi Friends!
Today is the day to share projects created for the Elizabeth Craft Designs September Design Team Challenge. The theme is Fall, Harvest or Halloween cards. You can check out all the wonderful creations from the whole DT on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog HERE. You will be inspired!

For the challenge I created three different cards.

The first one is a fun Halloween Card. I used Karen Burniston's Katie Label die with some Authentique paper. I colored 2 of the adorable images from the new Halloween in Frames Peel-off with  Copic Markers after adhering them to glittered adhesive on cardstock. You can see how to do this technique in this great video from Els HERE

The second card I created is a Fall card. I loved how the torn technique turned out on my By The Shore card and wanted to use it again in a different way- this time with white core paper. Love the look so much against the white embossed background. The leaves are the Fall Leaves in Gold Peel-Off on different colors of Shimmer Sheetz with the main Maple leaf inked with red Stazon to give it more depth and texture. The new large size Thinking of you Peel- Off in Gold worked perfectly for the sentiment.

And last but not least, this adorable, quick and easy Pumpkin Card. I used the largest decorator oval from the Oval Accordion Card die and cut three ovals from three different pattern paper. I overlapped them to form the pumpkin and did some free hand stitching at the seams for a more country look. The stem is freehand cut and the leaves are from the Pumpkin Die. I diecut the large Hello from brown cardstock to finish off the card. The completed pumpkin is adhere to a circle cardbase. This design would also make an adorable tag to attach to some pumpkin cookies or bread for a friend!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my cards today. They were lots of fun to create! Make sure and visit the ECD Blog to see the other Designers projects too- They are all amazing!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Let Your Light Shine!

* Before I begin my post I want to take a moment to honor those lives that were lost 13 years ago today. I send prayers of peace and comfort for the families and ask that God Bless our great nation with protection and continued freedom. Never Forget 9-11*

Hi Everyone!
I have a cute card to share with you that I created for my DistINKtive cards class at Scrapp'n Savvy this month. It was so fun to make!

I created this card with Karen Burniston's adorable die "Hoppy The Frog"! He's so cute! I knew I wanted to do something with fireflies and it just so happens that Hoppy comes with a fly die. After a lot of contemplation I figured out how to transform the fly to a firefly by adding a yellow circle of "light" behind the fly and a small yellow circle with a transparent glitter dot over it on its tummy for the glowing part.  I think they turned out cute! The jar was purchased on the Silhouette website and converted into a shaker by my dear sweet hubby. I really loved how this one turned out- Hoppy is definitely a Happy card!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'd love to here what you think! Have a great day!
Debra
