Sunflowers

Here is another card we did in the Copic Card class. This image is from the current Stamp of the Month- Sunflowers T-3292. I absolutely LOVE this set. I have used it several times here on the blog. It seems to be my "go to" set when I need something perfect for a birthday, a thank you or a thinking of you. The sunflowers are fun to color and great for practicing your Copics! I've also had fun playing with the pitcher giving it different finishes and effects. For this one I tried to mimic the blue tin cookware you see in the camping stores. After applying the color I went back and added "mottling" with my Colorless blender and then added white dots with a white gel pen. It looks really authentic in person. Sorry the lighting was a bit bright when I took the picture but I thought I would share it anyway. I took inspiration from the Card on the TAC home site and crumpled the blue part of the background. Then I  rubbed versamark over it to bring out the wrinkles. Love the look! If you don't have this set I encourage you to get it while it is on sale. You will use it over and over!

One of my favorite Images

I love this wagon filled with flowers. It's from a retired TAC set called Ecclectic Wagon. I used to use it all the time- there is something so charming about it- at least for me anyway. I'm teaching a Copic Card class at Scrapp'n Savvy and thought that wagon would be perfect to practice coloring on- especially the wood grain. I try to keep the cards simple in design to showcase the coloring. My students seem to really be enjoying the practice and the outcome. I'll share more with you as we go.

Hope you are getting a chance to enjoy some sunshine- it's beautiful here in Texas today. Thanks for stopping by!
